The state of Oklahoma spends roughly $20 billion annually with roughly $8 billion, or roughly 40% of that, being routed through the legislature’s appropriations process.

State agencies receive the remaining 60% through a process that is outside the legislatures budgeting process.

While our state has made significant progress regarding spending transparency in recent years, I support continued transparency of all government agencies so we can see how both appropriated and non-appropriated money is being spent.
